PADI Europe, Middle East and Africa is launching an exciting series of practical workshops, offering you the opportunity to take part in a variety of interactive practical sessions, meet PADI staff and network amongst your peers.
We have a selection of different experiences for you during the course of the day, so bring your dive gear, and join our experienced examiner team for a Control Techniques Workshop, where you’ll take away some hints and tips from the staff on how to conduct some of the classic and updated skills, with an emphasis on real-world best practices for control in open water. You can also refresh your rescue skills in the fun and interactive Rescue Workshop, and make sure you’re up to speed with the latest rescue protocols. And if you’re a Course Director or IDC Staff Instructor, you’re also invited to take part in an Evaluation Training Workshop, where we’ll practice evaluating some of the skills from the recently revised Open Water Diver Course (as a bonus you can attend any of these workshops free of charge if you also just came along to the corresponding IDC Staff Instructor / Course Director Update!).
When you’ve dried off, or even if you aren’t able to attend the in-water sessions, you can also attend the complimentary Risk Management Seminar, pick up some tips on conducting the Revised Open Water Diver Course, and take advantage of a Training Drop-In Clinic to ask the Training team any questions you have about PADI programmes or materials. In some locations, these programmes will also be combined with a Member Forum hosted by your PADI Regional Manager!
You can find the latest schedule of workshop dates and download a registration form here.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Immediately after the Dive Middle East Exhibition (DMEX) Al Boom Diving in UAE, in cooperation with PADI Regional Manager Teo Brambilla, organized a Positive Approach Selling workshop for its staff.
Instructors, Divemasters, counter and sales staff all gathered at the “Wasl Branch” to attend the workshop!
Focusing on the role that Instructors have in the diving industry, Teo went through the basics of the Continuing Education Philosophy before introducing the ‘art’ of counseling.
The final aim was to increase the number of Continuing Education Courses by developing the right staff attitude as sales people: to be able to listen to customers to gather information, present the sale, handle objections and to close the sale.
Everything covered in the workshop was supported by real examples from Teo’s personal experience in the field as a PADI Instructor, Course Director and Dive Center owner.
Running a Positive Approach Selling workshop is a great idea for any PADI Center, so if you are interested please get in contact with Teo and he will be happy to organize a tailor made workshop for your business.
As a valued PADI Member, you now have free access to these ScubaEarth® Extras features and benefits to test before they are widely available:
- Critter Finder – In addition to detailed marine species information, you can see photos and find out where to spot your favorite critters.
- Personalized Dive Dashboard – Manage your favorite ScubaEarth components, like dive sites, dive buddies, marine species and featured destinations, with these interactive slates
The Critter Finder is a great tool to attract more business. When staff members at your dive shop log dives or upload media, make sure you’re tagging the critters seen in photos or videos. Then, ScubaEarth users searching for a particular animal in the Critter Finder will find that they can see this animal while diving with your shop. They might just be more likely to join your ScubaEarth Dive Crew and even join your shop for a dive.
Make sure you’ve set up your ScubaEarth profile so you can test out these exciting new features. Select the blue Extras button for more information.
